1920’s Slingerland Banjo Ukulele
1920’s Slingerland Banjo Ukulele. The marketing genius of Henon H. Slingerland deposited hundreds of thousands of his decently-made, budget priced banjos all over the US. Whether they were part of his “free banjo when you sign up for mail order lessons” program, or just distributed through the traditional manufacturer-distributer-retailer music products chain, Slingerland banjos got around! This Slingerland banjo uke is typical for it’s day. Maple neck with a 13-1/8” scale length, original friction tuners, and the script Slingerland brand name stamped on the peghead. The 6-3/4” diameter rim has all the original hardware and a Slingerland stamped calf skin head. And an extra Slingerland stamp on the dowelstick. All in all, it is in nice, un-modified condition. Plays great and has a snappy, bright sound. Price is $300 and we include a plastic trumpet case that this banjo ukulele fits in rather decently.
