Easily the most visually stunning guitar we have had for sale. Manufactured to complement Gibson's F mandolin series, the huge scroll and the pointed Florentine cutaway made this guitar the most played at all guitar shows. All in all this guitar is in great shape. The classic Gibson sunburst is on the red spruce top and the birch back and sides are dark mahogany red. The peghead sports "The Gibson" and a fleur-de-lis inlays while the ebony fretboard has mother-of-pearl dots. The mahogany neck is huge by modern standards, but remembering that these instruments were some of the first guitars intended for steel strings, you'll realize that extra mass was necessary. The bridge and tailpiece are original Gibson equipment, but likely from the 1920s. The heel of the guitar neck was cracked at one point, but has been repaired solidly. The heel button on the back has been replaced with ebony. Included is the excelent condition original hard case.
