1893 Cole's Eclipse rim with Custom Unger neck. Like tea parties and the Red Sox, Cole banjos are a Boston classic. And even better, we are 98% positive that no one has ever bounced a baseball off of this Eclipse or dumped it into a harbor. The vintage rim is outfitted with a custom Doug Unger neck made of mahogany, a la a Cole's model 4000. With a rosewood peghead overlay, 27" scale ebony fretboard, and carved heel, the neck is not marked as an Unger, but is ultimately consistent with his craftsmanship. It's also set up with ABM planet tuners and a geared 5-star planet 5th. The 10-7/8" rim is outfitted with a high quality calf skin head, long 2-point shoes, and ball end nuts.
