Cremona SV-500
Cremona SV-500. As a firm believer in beginning musicians having access to affordable good sounding and great playing instruments, I decided having a few of these Cremona SV-500 fiddles was a good idea. The construction has everything you need in a fiddle. Ebony fingerboard and tuning pegs. Maple back, sides, and neck and a spruce top. Setup work here at the SFI shop includes dressing the fingerboard, fitting pegs when necessary, adjusting the bridge so it has a fiddler preferred lower & flatter profile, and adjusting, or sometimes replacing, the sound post. Though each of these SV-500 fiddles has its unique personality, I can say they are all warm, even, and the best instrument you can get in the $400 price point.
