1890’s J.B. Schall Project, As Is. Made about 120 years ago in Chicago. This project has a black painted maple neck with a 27-3/4” ebony fretboard. The spun over rim has an average diameter of 11-3/4”. It appears that the metal spin-over was painted gold. All shoes are original, but the hooks & nuts inventory has 16 presumed original, and 8 that do not match. There is plenty of work necessary to get this banjo to play again. New tuners, tailpiece, frets, fretboard repair, etc. Or maybe a new fretless fingerboard is in it’s future. Then, if the almost 28” scale fretboard is intimidating, you can put the bridge anywhere you want on the head!. Price is a banjo bargain at $275.
